PRIVACY POLICY
This page explains what data we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights.
Data controller
The data controller is Jules Thomas, publisher of The Algorithmic Atelier. Contact: julesthomas2b@outlook.fr.
Data collected
We collect personal data only in two cases:
1. Contact form and sign-up. When you write to us or create an account, we collect your name and your email address. Account creation (authentication) is handled through Supabase, whose servers are located in the European Union.
2. Training progress. Your progress through the Academy (completed modules, badges) is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and does not leave your device, unless you are signed in to an account.
This site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers for marketing purposes. It relies on an audience measurement (Google Analytics), described below, that only triggers with your consent.
Audience measurement
To understand site traffic (page views, sources, devices), we use Google Analytics 4, with anonymization of your IP address. This measurement is only activated after your explicit consent: as long as you have not clicked « Accept » on the banner shown on your first visit, no measurement cookie is set and no data is transmitted (Google Consent Mode).
If you accept, a measurement cookie is set and anonymized technical data may be processed by Google LLC, which may transfer it outside the European Union under appropriate safeguards. You can refuse from the outset via the banner, or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser data.
Purposes
The data is used exclusively to: respond to your requests, manage your account and your learning progress, and, where applicable, keep you informed of news from the Atelier if you have consented to it. No data is sold or transferred to third parties.
Retention period
Account data is kept for as long as the account is active. Contact messages are kept for the time needed to process your request. You can request the deletion of your data at any time.
Your rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection regarding your data. To exercise these rights, write to julesthomas2b@outlook.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
Hosting and subprocessors
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Authentication and the database are provided by Supabase (EU). These providers access the data only to deliver the technical service.
